Hello, I am Barbara Zurilgen, aka Barbara Williams. As a professional Miniature Schnauzer Breeder of 20 years, I believe our dogs are what they eat and they are what they absorb. I am here today to talk to you about Kibble Dog Food versus a Raw Dog Food Diet for your beloved pet. Sometimes This raw dog food diet is simple made up of chicken legs with the bones in.
As a responsible dog owner, you want to provide the best nutrition for your furry friend. The best dog food and great dog health requires that you purchase the best formulated dog food. However, with so many dog food options available, it can be overwhelming to decide what to feed them. One of the biggest debates in the dog food world is whether kibble or raw food is better for dogs. In this article, I’ll examine the benefits of kibble and the risks of a raw food dog diet, as well as provide tips for choosing the best dog food.
Before we dive into the details, let’s define what kibble and raw food dog diet mean. Kibble is a type of dry dog food that is made by a process that involves mixing and cooking ingredients, then shaping them into small, bite-sized pieces. A raw food dog diet, in contrast is lacking in nutritional value, and consists of feeding your dog uncooked or minimally processed meats, vegetables, and fruits, it is not a nutritionally balanced dog diet; therefore, there are several benefits of kibble for dogs. A raw dog food diet is not a balanced meal. Also, the nutrients that may exist are not synergistically processed. This is to say that a kibble meal and diet are synergistically processed whereas, the nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants, herbs, and proteins are greater than the sum total of the combination of ingredients in kibble. Obviously it is of a greater benefit to feed your dog nutrients that are synergistically combined and a science based formulation. We recommend a dog food diet that is offered in kibble over the raw diet that dwarfs in comparison.
As a responsible breeder of AKC Miniature Schnauzers I am obligated to be an advocate of both canines and the puppy owners.
Dog Breeders, and puppy owners must come together to support the well-being of our furry friend and companion, the domestic dog; man’s best friend, with that being said we must and are required to protect and feed our dogs the proper dog food.
A raw dog food diet, is not a nutrient rich diet for your family dog. Dogs, like humans, require a well-balanced nutritional meal.
The above statements are not to say all kibble is created equal. Most dog food dwarfs in quality as they more often not they do not offer nutrient rich dog that is formulated by a dog nutritionist and a Veterinarian. However, with minimal education you will be able to choose the correct brand of dog food.
How to choose the best dog food is simple when you read the ingredients in extra small print in the back of the dog food bag.
Simply, never ever buy a dog food kibble of any kind that uses any form of corn in their dog food. Corn is a carbohydrate. Corn contains a lot of carbohydrates that are converted into sugar and has minimal nutritional value. Also, corn causes the food sugar levels to skyrocket. Since diabetic dogs and dogs that are overweight should never be fed dog food kibble that has corn listed as one of its ingredients in dog food.
Do your due diligence in choosing the correct kibble for you beloved fur baby, your puppy.

What food should I feed my Miniature Schnauzer?
Dry dog food is often recommended for Miniature Schnauzers, as chewing on pieces of dry food can help keep your dog’s teeth clean and healthy. However, low quality dog foods can contain lots of fillers and by-products, which can be dangerous to a Miniature Schnauzer with a gluten intolerance or other food allergies.Jan 16, 2023
